Sergey Brin and Lawrence Page 這篇說明GOOGLE的搜尋結果網頁(SERP)的排序，同時使用連結結構(Link Structur)所計算出的PageRank，及連結關鍵字(Anchor text)，及特別推崇的網站網頁的連結(YAHOO)，被關鍵字出現的次數位置字型大小(Hits)，出現太多次以後無增加效果，多關鍵字時，關鍵字之間的距離。

The analysis of link structure via PageRank allows Google to evaluate the quality of web pages. The use of link text as a description of what the link points to helps the search engine return relevant (and to some degree high quality) results. Finally, the use of proximity information helps increase relevance a great deal for many queries.
